Nicki Minaj, Lady Gaga, Beyonce, Justin Bieber release ‘Songs For Japan’ album
Today (March 25), Universal Music released an album entitled “Songs for Japan” with the sole purpose of raising funds for the relief effort in Japan.
Making the album worthwhile for the fans, it comes with 38 tracks from some of the biggest Universal artists ready for instant download from the iTunes music. The compilation is only $9.99 and all proceeds will go to the Japanese Red Cross.
As previously reported Nicki Minaj, Bon Jovi, U2, Justin Bieber, and Lady Gaga are featured alongside artists Madonna, Justin Timberlake, Ne-yo, Lady Antebellum, Leona Lewis, Kings of Leon, and Bob Dylan, Pink, Elton John, Keith Urban, and more.
Eminem, Rihanna, Beyonce and Katy Perry lent some of their number one hits, while female rapper Nicki Minaj switched her style up and contributed her slow ballad “Save Me” from her "Pink Friday" album.
The charity campaign comes on the heels of the catastrophic 9.0 earthquake followed by a tsunami that leveled entire towns and left 10,000 dead and 17,000 still missing.
